How your identity is checked
Your ID and proof of address are checked automatically by Noviqent IdCheck - a live selfie compared against your ID and proof-of-address document, right in your browser, plus a Companies House director-name match if you're a limited company. This happens once, when you register or claim your profile.
That automated check is never the final word, though: a real person on our team still gives every profile a final manual review - regardless of whether the automated check passed - before your Verified badge goes live.

What happens next
Once your identity check completes, your profile status moves to pending. A real person on our team gives it a final review - including checking your ID photo matches who you say you are and, if you've submitted them, your insurance and certifications - and either approves it, unlocking the Verified badge, or gets in touch if something's missing.
Do I have to be verified to get leads?
No - your profile can still receive and respond to leads while unverified. But a Verified badge is clearly shown on your public profile and directory listing, and it's often the deciding factor for a homeowner choosing between similar builders.
